Since its start in 2023, the IPHCC Student Taskforce has been an important part of PHCC's efforts to involve healthcare students in international events. This initiative, aimed at engaging the future healthcare workforce and leaders, has generated overwhelming positive feedback for its impact on students and the primary healthcare community.
The IPHCC Student Task Force (IPHCC STF) is an extraordinary opportunity for ambitious healthcare students who are eager to make a lasting impact on the field. Roles and Responsibilities
During the three-day conference, IPHCC Student Taskforce members are expected to perform a variety of essential duties crucial for the event's smooth operation. These responsibilities include:
- Registration Assistance: Taskforce members will help manage the registration desk, helping attendees with check-in procedures and providing conference materials and badges. This role is vital for creating a welcoming first impression and ensuring that the registration process is efficient and stress-free for all participants.
- Venue Navigation: Members will serve as guides within the conference venue, helping attendees find their way to different sessions, workshops, and amenities. This support is crucial in supporting a seamless flow of events and enhancing the participants' overall experience.
- Session Support: Members will help set up and manage session rooms, handle technical equipment, and support speakers and presenters. This support ensures that each session runs smoothly and adheres to the schedule, which is essential for the overall success of the conference.

- Facilitating Networking Events: Taskforce members will help organize and facilitate networking events, ensuring that these interactions are engaging and productive. This role is designed to foster professional connections and collaborations among attendees, which is a key part of the conference's theme.
SELECTION PROCESS FOR THE IPHCC STUDENT TASKFORCE
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be current undergraduate students in healthcare professions at educational institution within Qatar (e.g. Qatar University or Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar).
- Applicants must be residents holding a valid Qatar ID (QID).
Application Steps
- Submission of Application: Interested candidates are required to submit a formal application.
- Review Process: Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee, this committee will assess candidates based on their experience, demonstrated interest in primary care, and potential to contribute to the Taskforce's goals.
- Interviews: Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a brief interview, either in person or virtually, to further gauge their commitment and compatibility with the Taskforce's mission.
- Selection Notification: Final selections will be communicated to successful candidates via email, along with details on the roles, expectations, and orientation dates.
Expectations Upon Selection: Upon selection, members are expected to commit to the full duration of the Student Task Force’s activities, participate actively in all assigned duties, and adhere to the professional standards set by the IPHCC. Training sessions will be provided prior to the conference to prepare members for their roles. All students will be issued Certificate of Participation by the End of the Conference.
