Dr. Hani Alghamdi

Dr. Hani Alghamdi is an Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Health Services and currently serves as Chairman of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the College of Medicine, King Saud University. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and a PhD in Health Policy and Services Research from the University of Sheffield.
Dr. Alghamdi has advised several governmental entities in Saudi Arabia on developing national strategies to strengthen public health and preventive medicine, with a focus on tackling non-communicable diseases and improving population health outcomes. His work bridges academic expertise and policy application, contributing to health system reforms and the integration of primary care services.
He has led and contributed to numerous initiatives aiming to enhance the quality, accessibility, and efficiency of healthcare delivery in Saudi Arabia, in line with global best practices and the goals of Vision 2030. His academic research focuses on health systems performance, policy evaluation, and population health management.
Dr.Alghamdi is passionate about promoting evidence-based public health interventions and advancing primary healthcare through policy innovation, research, and cross-sector collaboration at both national and international levels.
