Dr. Behi nikaiin

Dr. Behi Nikaiin is a faculty member at the College of Nursing at Qatar University and a passionate advocate for excellence in nursing education and clinical practice. With nearly two decades of experience in both academic and healthcare settings across Canada and the Middle East, she has made significant contributions to the advancement of nursing and interprofessional education.
Dr. Nikaiin’s professional journey spans primary care, midwifery, nursing, and leadership roles, including serving as Director of Home Care Services in Canada, where she led teams in delivering integrated, patient-centered care in the community. She has a strong clinical background in maternal-child health, having supported countless women and families through prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
As the Lead for Clinical Education, she has played a pivotal role in shaping clinical training programs, aligning them with population health needs, healthcare system priorities, and evolving competency frameworks. Her teaching portfolio includes many years of instruction in community health nursing, where she fosters student engagement in public health principles, health promotion, and culturally responsive care.
Dr. Nikaiin’s work is grounded in a comprehensive understanding of clinical education, student learning, stakeholder collaboration, and healthcare delivery, making her a valued contributor to curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and system-level improvements in nursing education.
