Dr. Muna Ahmed Almohri
Consultant family physician and Chief of Mother and Child Health Services
Primary Healthcare Centers, Kingdom of Bahrain
Dr. Muna Consultant family physician held position of Head of Health center council for 6 years, Then she became chief of mother and child health services at Primary healthcare centers where she lead programs aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of women and children.
Dr. Muna responsible for screening programs related to women and children including premarital services, antenatal care, child screening and vaccination, postnatal care and periodic women screening.
In addition, Dr. Muna work on the implementation and monitoring of the initiatives with physicians, midwives and nurses. Dr. Muna also responsible for coordinating maternal and child health, overseeing clinical guidelines and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services in Primary health care centres. She also ensure the promotion and support of breastfeeding in the facilities, and the department has recently launched breastfeeding clinics and workshops for pregnant women.
She hold MD certificate from Arabian Gulf University and Arab Board Family Medicine and Master of Science in mother and child health from UCL University in London. She have multiple research publications related to mother and child health.
