I am Consultant family physician and chief of mother and child health services at Primary healthcare centers where I lead programs aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of women and children. I am responsible for screening programs related to women and children including premarital services, antenatal care, child screening and vaccination, postnatal care and periodic women screening. In addition, I work on the implementation and monitoring of the initiatives with physicians, midwives and nurses. I am also responsible for coordinating maternal and child health, overseeing clinical guidelines and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services in Primary health care centres. I also ensure the promotion and support of breastfeeding in the facilities, and the department has recently launched breastfeeding clinics and workshops for pregnant women. I hold MD certificate from Arabian Gulf University and Master of Science in mother and child health from UCL University in London. I have multiple research publications related to mother and child health.
