Dr. Souma Eltorky, BSN, MSN, PhD (Nursing), is an Assistant Professor of Maternal & Gynecology Nursing at Alexandria University and is currently working as a healthcare business development partner at the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH). She brings extensive academic and regulatory experience, having previously served an academic faculty in high institute of nursing MOPH, Qatar, then as Registration and Licensing Supervisor for Allied Health Professionals (AHP) and Complementary & Alternative Medicine (CAM) regulations.
In her current role, Dr. Eltorky supports the department director and team in enhancing processes, driving modernization, and aligning future planning with the mission, vision, and values of MOPH. She is responsible for service improvement, and contributing to annual planning, budgeting, and strategic goal setting and KPIs.
A member of the Specialized Complementary Medicine Committee, Dr. Eltorky plays an active role in overseeing CAM regulation, licensing, policy development, and standard setting. Her expertise spans healthcare regulation, strategic planning, quality improvement, and academic nursing education.
