Professor Faisal Alnaser is a highly respected academic and leader in Family Medicine, with a long record of advancing primary care education, research, and clinical practice in the Arab region. He previously served as Professor of Family Medicine, Vice President, and Chairman of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Arabian Gulf University, where he contributed significantly to curriculum development and physician training.
He chaired the Scientific Council of Family & Community Medicine at the Arab Board for Health Specialties for eight years, playing a key role in shaping postgraduate family medicine training standards across multiple Arab countries. He is also a founding member of the Global Family Medicine Scientific Alliance and serves on several editorial boards of regional and international journals.
Professor Alnaser has authored four books, contributed five international textbook chapters, and published over eighty scientific papers. He has also supervised and mentored generations of medical students and residents, and has produced numerous health education materials for the public.
He was recently elected President of the WONCA Eastern Mediterranean Region, representing 22 countries. His achievements have earned multiple honors, including the WONCA EMR Five-Star Doctor Award, the prestigious WONCA Fellowship, and recognition among the world’s “Top 100 Most Influential Health Leaders.”
